A Beloved Place, A Thoughtful New Chapter

Meet the New Owners of Arrowhead Creek on Waneta Lake

There are certain places that feel stitched into the fabric of a community—and Arrowhead Creek is one of them.

Situated on the north end of Waneta Lake, this beloved golf course, restaurant, and bar has long been where locals gather and visitors are welcomed like hometown folks. It’s where rounds of golf turn into long conversations, where meals linger, and where memories stack up season after season.

So when the former owners announced they were selling, the community collectively held its breath.

You can exhale now.

Arrowhead Creek is proudly and joyfully entering a new chapter under the ownership of brother–sister team Cullen and Kailey Pease—owners who understand not only the business of hospitality, but the deep emotional ties people have to this place.

Originally from the Rochester area, Cullen and Kailey spent their childhood summers in Penn Yan on Keuka Lake. Those summers—rooted in family, lake days, and small-town rhythms—left a lasting impression and quietly shaped the path that led them back to the Finger Lakes.

Kailey brings more than a decade of hands-on experience in the restaurant world. After attending college in Columbus, Ohio, she spent ten years helping launch new restaurants—and even a food truck—building spaces that feel welcoming, thoughtful, and community-centered.

Cullen, meanwhile, has golf in his blood. With both he and their father being avid golfers, the course has always been more than fairways and greens—it’s a place of connection, tradition, and camaraderie.

New Ideas, Traditional Favorites

While the heart of Arrowhead Creek remains firmly rooted in tradition, Cullen and Kailey are thoughtfully looking ahead.

Cullen has a long-term vision for the golf course, with improvements planned over time that enhance play while respecting what golfers already love. Some of these updates will become visible as the snow melts and the new season begins—quiet signs of fresh energy paired with deep respect for the course’s character.

Modern conveniences are also coming into play. A brand-new website, arrowheadflx.com, is launched, complete with online tee time booking to make planning a round easier than ever. Membership opportunities will also be introduced beginning May 1st, offering locals and frequent players a new way to deepen their connection to the course.

The Restaurant: Familiar Comfort, Thoughtful Updates

The changes inside the restaurant are subtle—but meaningful. Fresh, new touches blend seamlessly with the familiar feel longtime guests love. The menu has been given a thoughtful face-lift, and while old favorites remain firmly in place, new offerings have found a natural home here.

One of the most exciting additions? Wood-fired crusted pizza, bringing a cozy, elevated option to the table that feels just right after a round—or as a reason to stop in all on its own.

Want an order to go? While phone orders are always welcome, online ordering is now available—making it even easier to enjoy your favorites, quick, easy, and just a few clicks away.

On a recent visit, I went classic with a traditional cheeseburger and onion rings, and it was superb—the kind of simple, perfectly executed comfort food that reminds you why classics endure. And for those who like a little heat, I’m told the Kick-Ass Burger, topped with jalapeños and a specialty house sauce, absolutely delivers.

And yes—some traditions are simply too good to change. The beloved Friday Night Fish Fry is alive and well, exactly where it belongs.

Community Nights Are Back

Another welcome return? Euchre Night.

Euchre has officially returned to Arrowhead Creek, held every Wednesday evening starting at 6:00 PM. It’s the perfect way to shake off the mid-week blues—good cards, good company, and plenty of laughs around the table.

And the Question on Everyone’s Lips… Is Bunco Coming Back?

The short answer? Hopefully!

With the excitement of a full relaunch underway—and with Kailey expecting a new little bundle of joy in early April—time is understandably limited, especially when it comes to shopping for all those wonderful Bunco prizes everyone loves.

But there’s a solution on the table. A Bunco committee could work alongside Kailey to help shop for prizes and bring this beloved tradition back to life. If you’re interested in lending a hand, feel free to reach out—because we all know…community matters.

And yes, Bunco was the best.

Together, Cullen and Kailey are striking a careful balance—honoring what made Arrowhead Creek a cherished gathering place while gently guiding it forward.

Here’s to familiar fairways, full tables, lively game nights, and a new chapter that feels just right.

A Keuka Roots Moment

Places like Arrowhead Creek remind us why we stay. They evolve, they welcome new hands and fresh ideas—but they never lose their soul. They remain the kind of places where weeknight cards turn into laughter, where traditions are guarded with care, and where new memories quietly take root.

This is what it looks like when a place is loved forward.

And around here, that matters.

Stay Rooted. Stay Keuka.
