Planting Forever Roots: The Story of Oak & Anchor Inn

More than a B&B — a gentle haven rooted in community, comfort, and Keuka charm.

πŸ’™ Something new is arriving above the shores of Keuka… just in time for love.

This Valentine’s Weekend, Oak & Anchor Inn officially opens its doors — Penn Yan’s newest boutique bed & breakfast overlooking the lake.

When Julie Andreoni-Lebron, her husband, and daughter chose to step away from city life, the Keuka Lake region quickly felt like home. What began as a move became something deeper — a decision to plant forever roots.

Julie, a Navy and Coast Guard veteran, is proud to bring this veteran-owned business to our area. She’s the social heart of the trio and an accomplished chef in her own right. The moment she begins talking about the lake, the village, the people here, and their dreams and plans for Oak and Anchor her warmth and genuine enthusiasm are impossible to miss.

After purchasing the home on the corner of Merritt Hill and Coates Road, the family spent months carefully adding their own touches — fresh paint, subtle updates, and thoughtful details that honor both the character of the house and the spirit of the Finger Lakes. Just as intentionally, they spent those same months exploring Keuka and its surrounding communities.

To say they fell in love with the area would be an understatement.

Oak & Anchor sits on 12 acres of beauty and serenity. Step outside and the landscape invites you to slow down… step inside and the calm continues — spacious rooms, beautiful décor, and that rare feeling that you’ve somehow already been here before. Home, but away.

Julie is also an advocate for Autism and proudly shares that her daughter, Siobhan, is their own unofficial ambassador. Now 22, Siobhan will begin her own homesteading journey this spring at Oak & Anchor — caring for the chickens soon to call the property home.

Farm-fresh eggs for breakfast? Yes, please.

Siobhan will also be nurturing a pollinator garden and herb garden and raising monarch butterflies to help replenish their numbers — a small but meaningful way the family hopes to give back to the land that welcomed them.

More than just a place to stay, Oak & Anchor hopes to become a gentle haven — a place where parents, especially caregivers, can come for a weekend of respite and relaxation while feeling truly welcomed and understood.

Alongside her advocacy work, Julie holds a deep commitment to supporting fellow veterans. This May, Oak & Anchor will host its first Women’s Veteran Retreat in partnership with Lori Dowling. The two are already hard at work planning a meaningful and restorative experience, so be sure to follow their Facebook page for updates.

The family also holds a deep appreciation for the arts and plans to host creative workshops throughout the year — welcoming guest artists and local talent to share their skills and inspiration with visitors and the community alike. Set against the beauty of Keuka Lake and their serene twelve-acre property, the inn will become a natural gathering place where creativity can flourish, ideas can be exchanged, and artists can simply come to create.

Perched above Keuka where morning light dances across the water, this intimate sanctuary blends quiet luxury with heartfelt hospitality. Guests will enjoy thoughtfully curated amenities, refined comfort, and locally inspired breakfasts crafted by a chef who believes food should feel like a welcome home.

It’s the kind of stay where time slows down…
where coffee tastes better with a view…
and where memories come naturally.

Whether you’re planning a romantic escape, celebrating something special, or simply craving a reset, Oak & Anchor offers a retreat designed to feel effortless and unforgettable.

And for our locals — after the stretch of brutal cold we’ve all endured this year — it might be the perfect time to plan your own little getaway, even if it’s just down the road, and allow yourself a bit of well-earned pampering.

Welcome to a new place to rest, reconnect, and stay awhile — right here in the heart of Keuka. Oak & Anchor, a gentle haven rooted in community, comfort, and Keuka charm.
