Chris B's 4th Annual Seafood Boil

Returns to Krookid Leyk Distilling

Sometimes the best stories are about good food...and good people.

At Keuka Roots, we often say that we're not simply telling the stories of places—we're telling the stories of the people who make those places special. This Seafood Boil is a perfect example.

If you've followed Keuka Roots for any length of time, you already know that I have a soft spot for the people behind the businesses as much as I do the businesses themselves. And when it comes to food trucks, Chris B's Food Truck sits right at the top of my list.

Not only is Chris one of my favorite local chefs, he's also my neighbor—and most definitely one of my favorite people. He has a way of making everyone feel like family, whether he's handing you one of his incredible meals through the food truck window or stopping to chat at a community event.

This August, Chris is bringing back one of the Finger Lakes' tastiest summer traditions.

Chris B's 4th Annual Seafood Boil

Saturday, August 15

Seafood lovers, this one is for you!

Hosted in partnership with Krookid Leyk Distilling, this annual event has become one of those experiences that perfectly captures the spirit of our region. It's where exceptional food meets exceptional craft spirits, all served with the warm hospitality that makes the Finger Lakes feel like home.

Each Seafood Boil for Two is $100 and is available by pre-order only. Pickup will take place at Krookid Leyk Distilling between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, but don't be in a hurry to leave. Guests are invited to enjoy their seafood boil right on the patio while taking in an afternoon of live music, or simply grab it to go and enjoy it wherever your summer adventures take you.

Every Seafood Boil for Two includes:

Whole Lobster

Crab Legs

Clams

Mussels

Shrimp

Local Sweet Corn

Kielbasa

Salt Potatoes

Cornbread

Two Signature Cocktails from Krookid Leyk Distilling

Everything is freshly prepared by Chris B's and served alongside Krookid Leyk Distilling's signature handcrafted cocktails, delivering the quality, freshness, and generous portions Chris has become known for throughout the Finger Lakes.

Stay for the Afternoon

One of the things that makes this year's event even more special is the opportunity to linger awhile.

Enjoy live music throughout the day on the patio featuring:

🎶 Ethan Wooley | 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

🎶 Logan Route | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

There's something uniquely Finger Lakes about enjoying an incredible seafood feast, sipping handcrafted cocktails, listening to live local music, and spending an afternoon surrounded by friends. That's exactly what Chris B's and Krookid Leyk Distilling have created.

Meet the People Behind the Seafood Boil

One of the things I love most about writing for Keuka Roots is introducing you to the people behind the businesses. Their stories are every bit as interesting as the products they create.

Chris is the kind of person who measures success one satisfied customer at a time. Whether he's serving barbecue, seafood, or one of his signature creations, every plate reflects his passion for cooking and his appreciation for the community that supports him. He doesn't simply feed people—he creates experiences that bring friends and families together around a picnic table, at a concert, or beside the lake on a beautiful summer afternoon.

Then there's Patrick, the man behind the handcrafted cocktails at Krookid Leyk Distilling. Patrick has created much more than a distillery; he's built a gathering place. Walk through the doors and you'll quickly discover that the spirits are only part of the experience. It's the conversations, the laughter, the welcoming atmosphere, and Patrick's genuine love for sharing his craft that keep people coming back. Every cocktail is thoughtfully prepared, showcasing the creativity and pride he pours into his work.

What makes this event so special isn't simply the lobster or the cocktails.

It's the partnership.

It's two local entrepreneurs who genuinely enjoy what they do, who believe in supporting one another, and who understand that the best community events are built around people first.

That's the Keuka way.

More Than Great Food

One of the reasons I love highlighting events like this is because they remind us what makes the Finger Lakes so special.

Behind every successful small business is someone willing to work long hours, take risks, and pour their heart into serving their community. Chris and Patrick are two of those people. They represent the entrepreneurial spirit that keeps our small towns thriving and our local economy growing.

Great food has always had a way of bringing people together. Add in handcrafted cocktails, an afternoon of live music, a beautiful Finger Lakes setting, and the company of good friends, and you've got all the ingredients for a day to remember.

From all of us at Keuka Roots, thank you, Chris and Patrick, for continuing to give our community experiences worth gathering around. We are proud to call you neighbors, friends, and part of the story that makes this region so special.

We'll see you at the Seafood Boil.
