In Hammondsport this Saturday, however, the invasion will arrive on two wheels.
On Saturday, August 8, 2026, the Hammondsport Fire Department will host the Odd Ball Old Dog Cycles Motorcycle Show & Swap Meet, welcoming riders, collectors, restorers, and motorcycle enthusiasts from throughout New York, Pennsylvania, and beyond.
This year's featured theme celebrates the legendary motorcycles of Great Britain—from Triumph and BSA to Norton, AJS, Vincent, Royal Enfield, and other iconic marques that helped shape motorcycling history. Whether you're passionate about British classics, American iron, Japanese sport bikes, or modern touring machines, all makes and models are welcome.
More Than a Motorcycle Show
Even if you don't ride, there's plenty to enjoy.
This is a family-friendly community event where everyone is welcome. In addition to rows of fascinating motorcycles, visitors can browse numerous vendors offering a variety of merchandise and treasures.
Come hungry, too! The Hammondsport Fire Department and the Hammondsport Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will be serving up a delicious selection of food throughout the day. It's a wonderful opportunity to support the firefighters and volunteers who do so much for our community while enjoying great food and a great atmosphere.
Whether you're a lifelong rider, a casual admirer of classic motorcycles, or simply looking for something fun to do with the family, there's something here for everyone.
A Perfect Fit for Hammondsport
Few communities are more closely connected to motorcycle history than Hammondsport.
Long before Glenn H. Curtiss became known around the world as the "Father of Naval Aviation," he was one of America's greatest motorcycle racers and builders. His speed records on two wheels helped launch a career that would ultimately change aviation forever.
It seems only fitting that motorcycle enthusiasts continue to gather in the village where Curtiss first chased speed and innovation.
Adding to the excitement, the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum will also be joining the festivities. In a recent announcement, the museum shared:
"Summer Cycle this Saturday!! Cruise on up to the Hammondsport FD for the show and then stop by the Glenn H Curtiss Museum. We will be at the Show with merch and admission coupons! See you there!"
