Keuka Memories Wanted!

Have a story or memory from Keuka Lake or the communities that surround it?

We want to read it!

Capture the Magic of Keuka: Share Your Story!

Brought to you by Keuka Roots, Keuka Sun, Hornell Sun and Mystic Media

There’s something truly special about Keuka Lake — the way the sun sparkles on its waters, the quiet moments along its shores, and the memories that linger long after the day is done. From childhood adventures and family picnics to hidden corners discovered on a lazy afternoon, Keuka Lake and the communities that surround it in Steuben and Yates counties is full of stories just waiting to be told.

Now, it’s your turn to share one of those stories. We’re thrilled to announce the “Share Your Story” Contest, a celebration of the moments, memories, and short stories that make Keuka Lake and its neighboring communities such a cherished part of our lives. Whether it’s a funny incident, a heartfelt memory, or a little-known local tale, we want to hear from you!

Here’s how it works:

• Theme: Stories or memories from around the Keuka Lake region

• Format: Short story or personal memory

• Word Limit: Maximum 500 words

• Contest Open to Participants: 18 years of age and up

This contest is about more than just storytelling it is about preserving the spirit of Keuka and its surrounding communities while connecting with the people who call this area home, whether for a season or a lifetime. Every story adds to the rich tapestry of memories that make our communities vibrant and unique.

So, dust off your notebooks, open your laptop, or simply take a moment to reflect on that unforgettable day by the lake. Your story, in 500 words or less, could become part of our shared celebration of Keuka.

Don’t wait—submit your story today and let your voice be heard!

A panel of judges will select the winners from the top 10 finalists in both categories of the “Share Your Story” Contest.
