Keuka Spice Cellar

Taste, Explore & Find Something Delicious at The Windmill

Live demos. Real tastings. And maybe a little inspiration for your inner chef.

There are some booths at The Windmill Farm & Craft Market where you go to shop.

And then there are those where you go to explore.

You wander in, spot something you've never tried before, ask a question, sample a flavor—and suddenly you're imagining what you could make with it at home.

That's exactly the kind of experience waiting for visitors at Keuka Spice Cellar in Building 3.

With shelves filled with small-batch spices, creative blends, sauces, specialty foods, everyday kitchen essentials, harder-to-find ingredients and exclusive product lines, Keuka Spice Cellar is a stop made for anyone who loves food—or simply loves discovering something new.

And the best part?

You don't have to know what to do with it before you walk through the door.

That's where the fun begins.

Wait… Truffle Cheese Spread?

When it comes to finding unique and special foods, the folks at Keuka Spice Cellar do a lot of "exploring" behind the scenes.

And by exploring, we mean tasting.

It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it!

One of their latest discoveries?

Truffle cheese spread.

Hmmm.

My first question was probably the same one you're asking:

What could we do with that?

The answer turns out to be—quite a lot.

Spread it over warm crostini or crusty bread. Melt a spoonful into mashed potatoes. Add it to a grilled cheese sandwich. Swirl it into pasta or risotto. Tuck a little into a burger. Serve it alongside crackers and charcuterie. Or add it to scrambled eggs for a weekend breakfast that suddenly feels a little fancy.

That's part of the fun of specialty foods.

Sometimes all it takes is one unexpected ingredient to completely change an ordinary meal.

Calling All Bacon Lovers!

Oh, bacon lovers…this one has your name written all over it.

Bacon Marmalade is here!

Sweet. Savory. Smoky. And full of possibilities.

Brush it over chicken, pork or burgers as a glaze for the barbecue. Spread it on warm toast, a bagel or a biscuit. Add a little to a grilled cheese or breakfast sandwich. Pair it with cheese and crackers on a charcuterie board.

Or, hey…

Grab a spoon.

Sometimes you don't need to complicate a good thing.

And Then There Are the Pickled Eggs…

Apparently, Keuka Spice Cellar shoppers have been asking.

And asking.

So yes…

The pickled eggs are back!

Fresh batches are ready in three flavors:

Mustard

Jalapeño

Red Beet

They're colorful, tangy, nostalgic and just the sort of old-fashioned specialty that feels right at home at The Windmill.

Grab a jar for the refrigerator, slice them onto a salad, add them to a snack board, turn them into a wonderfully different deviled egg—or simply eat one straight from the jar.

No judgment here.

More Than Shopping—Come Taste & Learn

What makes Keuka Spice Cellar especially fun is that the experience doesn't end at the shelves.

There will be live demonstrations, real tastings and plenty of ideas for turning the products you discover into something delicious.

Not a gourmet chef?

Perfect.

You don't need to be.

The idea is to show how a spice blend, sauce, spread or specialty ingredient can take something you already make at home and give it a little extra personality.

Taste it. Ask about it. Learn how to use it. Then take that inspiration home.

You might walk into Keuka Spice Cellar looking for one thing and leave carrying an ingredient you had never even heard of before.

And perhaps that's the best part.

Take Home the Spark of Your Inner Chef

One of the things we love about The Windmill Farm & Craft Market is that you never quite know what you're going to discover.

A handmade treasure.

A favorite food.

A local maker.

Or maybe…

truffle cheese spread and a jar of Bacon Marmalade you fully intend to eat with a spoon.

So the next time you're wandering the market, make your way to Keuka Spice Cellar in Building 3.

Stop in.

Say "hi!"

Have a taste.

Ask what they're experimenting with this week.

And don't be afraid to try something completely new.

Because sometimes the best things we bring home from The Windmill aren't simply what we bought.

They're the ideas that came with them.
