Small Town Roots. Big Hearted Dreams.

It only takes minutes when talking with Rob and Tracy Tremaine to understand they prioritize family and possess a profound dedication to their community. From warmly greeting each customer or client with a smile to championing and uplifting local small businesses, their commitment shines through. They embody humility and express a deep sense of gratitude, navigating life’s ups and downs with grace. Having established their roots in the area over fifteen years ago, they brought with them a wealth of experience in landscaping and have consistently worked to enhance the beauty of Keuka and its neighboring communities.

Now, celebrating twenty-six years of success in the landscaping business, they have opened a charming landscape yard that features a rustic gift shop. They both affirm, “It’s something we used to daydream about, having a space of our own where we could support other small businesses and give back to the community that’s supported us.”

When they set out to expand by establishing the landscape yard, their objective was clear: to provide the community with a more accessible, local source for landscaping materials. Yet for this enterprising couple, that was merely the beginning. They dreamed of creating a space that the entire community would cherish and adore.

The gift shop was born from a burst of inspiration by Rob that quickly grew into a much grander vision. Tracy expressed, “He pointed out a critical aspect that struck a chord with me; for all the visitors to Lamoka and Waneta Lakes, there isn't a nearby place to acquire a memento that embodies the distinct charm of these lakes. We aimed to change that. Our mission is to provide people with a way to take home a piece of this breathtaking area and to celebrate the dynamic spirit of the community.”

Tracy embodies a creative energy that the LWL Gift Shop wonderfully reflects. The shop showcases locally crafted goods as well as products that honor the land they hold dear. From handmade soaps to apparel, the inviting shop offers something for everyone.

After the gift shop's opening, Rob aimed to cater specifically to the hunting community in the area. The excitement in Rob's voice is unmistakable as he shares details about the hunting section of the gift shop, which features everything an enthusiastic hunter could wish for, from hunting blinds to tree stands, food plot supplies, and much more.

There’s an undeniable charm to Lamoka and Waneta Lakes, just a short drive up the hill from Hammondsport. The gentle breeze. The captivating stories. The sense of time lingering. At LWL Gift Shop, they’ve encapsulated that essence in every item on their shelves. They warmly invite you to come explore, take your time, and discover the perfect piece to bring home. I, for one, have fallen in love with the carefully curated selections that Tracy has placed upon her shelves.

They are thrilled to announce their inaugural Fall Festival taking place on September 27th! With over 25 vendors, a delicious chicken BBQ, music and bounce houses for the kids, there’s truly something for everyone! Be sure to save the date—you won’t want to miss this fun-packed day!

While we’re just stepping into pumpkin season, Tracy often finds herself reminiscing about the scent of fresh pine. She is excited to relocate Wreaths by Tracy to the LWL Gift Shop, marking her first retail space. Tracy is even contemplating hosting a few wreath-making classes, laughing as she says, “I’m just brainstorming this idea right now.” And it seems Rob is catching the Christmas spirit too, as there’s even discussion about offering fresh-cut Christmas trees. I can hardly wait to see the LWL Gift Shop decked out for the holiday season!

In the course of our discussions, they frequently expressed their appreciation for the vibrant community spirit they cherish. Tracy and Rob both concurred, saying, “One of the greatest joys of running a business is the remarkable people you encounter along the journey—the friendships, the connections, the stories. Our landscaping business has already introduced us to so many incredible individuals. Now, with the addition of the gift shop, we’re excited to see who will come through our doors next.”

I highly recommend taking a drive to visit Rob and Tracy and explore their gift shop. I assure you, you'll leave with newfound friendships! And don't miss out on their Fall Festival!
