“Patina: Where Every Treasure Tells a Story”

Step into Patina, and it feels as if you’ve taken a gentle stroll back in time. Nestled at 57 Shethar Street in the charming village of Hammondsport, New York, Patina is more than an antique store—it’s a cozy, vibrant marketplace alive with stories, history, and treasures waiting to be discovered.

Housed in a historic building that first opened its doors as Frey’s Opera House in 1901, the space has seen generations pass through its doors. Later, it became the beloved Village Hardware store, and today it retains the warmth and charm of its past: sunlight spills across worn wooden floors, soft creaks of vintage staircases add character, and corners beckon you to linger and explore. There’s a comforting sense that every piece here has a story to tell.

Since 2020, under new ownership, Patina has blossomed into a lively community hub featuring over 16 unique vendors, each adding their own personality to the space. The aisles are filled with eclectic antiques, whimsical collectibles, vintage treasures, handcrafted gems, and intriguing industrial curiosities—a feast for the eyes and the imagination. Whether you’re a seasoned collector, a casual browser, or simply someone in search of a little inspiration, there’s truly something to delight everyone.

Just a short stroll from Keuka Lake and the Village Square, Patina is perfectly situated for a leisurely afternoon of wandering. Imagine discovering a faded photograph tucked inside a vintage frame, a hand-thrown ceramic mug that feels just right in your hands, or a one-of-a-kind industrial lamp that sparks your imagination. Each visit is a tiny adventure, a chance to connect with history and creativity in a tangible, joyful way.

Open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, Patina isn’t just a place to shop—it’s a step into history, a celebration of craftsmanship, and a cozy corner of Hammondsport that invites you to slow down and savor the treasures of the past.

So why not plan a visit? Whether you’re hunting for the perfect keepsake, a thoughtful gift, or simply a quiet spot to explore and be inspired, Patina welcomes you with open doors, friendly smiles, and the promise that a little discovery awaits around every corner. Come see what treasures you’ll uncover—you never know which stories might come home with you.
