Simplicity On Main: Where Fashion Meets Inclusivity

Locally owned and operated by Lauren McQuaid, Simplicity On Main is more than just a boutique—it’s a reflection of her passion for fashion, her commitment to family, and her mission to create an inclusive space where all women feel welcome.

A Business Built on Faith and Family

As a mom of two, Lauren has always lived by a “family first” philosophy, deeply rooted in her faith-based home. Her entrepreneurial journey began in 2018 with an online boutique, born out of both necessity and inspiration. Like many women balancing motherhood and career, Lauren wanted to create something that allowed her to pursue her dreams without sacrificing precious time with her children.

What began as a side project quickly grew into a thriving business. By 2019, she made the courageous leap to leave her full-time job and dedicate herself fully to building a brand that combined her love of fashion with her values. Working from home gave her the freedom to nurture both her family and her business—laying the foundation for what would eventually become Simplicity On Main.

From Online Success to Main Street Presence

Now that her children are school-aged, Lauren has expanded her vision. In 2025, she opened a brick-and-mortar location in downtown Penn Yan, giving women the chance to shop her carefully curated collections in person.

Walking into Simplicity On Main is more than a shopping trip—it’s an experience. From warm greetings to racks filled with clothing that celebrates every body type, Lauren has created a boutique that feels personal, uplifting, and stylish. And with the seasonal relaunch of her online boutique, women near and far can now enjoy the same quality, inclusive styles from the comfort of their homes.

Fashion as Self-Care

For Lauren, clothing is not about simply selling outfits—it’s about empowering women. She puts it best herself:

“I believe buying clothing as a woman is like self-care. As moms and grandmothers, too often we find something we love - But then we see something for the kids or grandkids. Of course, we’re going to buy for them and put our thing back. You can’t do that here. It’s a store just for us.”

At Simplicity On Main, she encourages women to take back a little piece of joy through fashion. Whether it’s a flattering pair of Judy Blue jeans, a classic soft and simple top, or the latest TikTok-inspired trend, every piece in the store is chosen with care and with women’s confidence in mind.

Style for Every Woman

One of the things that sets Simplicity On Main apart is its commitment to inclusivity. The boutique proudly offers many size-inclusive options, from Small through 3XL in tops and dresses, and 0–24W in denim. Fashion is for everyone—and Lauren ensures no woman feels left out of the shopping experience.

Simplicity On Main has already become a must-visit destination for locals and visitors alike, offering a mix of minimalist everyday essentials and bold statement pieces. No matter your age, size, or style preference, there’s something waiting for you on the racks.

A Mission With Meaning

Beyond the clothing, Lauren’s deeper mission is to encourage, uplift, and inspire. She sees Simplicity On Main not just as a business but as a way to connect with her community and remind women of their worth. Fashion here is stylish, yes—but it’s also meaningful, built on a foundation of family, faith, and community.
