StorySprout’s South Shore Stroll:

A Village Day Full of Smiles, Cinnamon & Community

Today, StorySprout spent her morning wandering the south shore of Keuka, yes, Hammondsport, arm in arm with one of her very best besties — Christina, from the Greater Hammondsport Chamber of Commerce, who just happens to know everyone. With each friendly wave and cheerful stop, StorySprout soaked up the rhythm of village life, discovering that the best adventures are often made one storefront at a time.

Her first stop? Wise Guys, where StorySprout confirmed (once again) that pizza is always a good idea — especially when it involves pepperoni, her clear favorite. From there, it was off for a very important visit with Dr. Sam Pennise for a teeth cleaning. Old friends reunited, smiles all around, and StorySprout left with sparkling teeth and an extra bounce in her step. Next came a visit to The Cinnamon Stick, where she lingered among unique gifts and breathed in that unmistakable, cozy scent of cinnamon — the kind that feels like a hug this time of year.

After a quick non-alcoholic sip at The Village Tavern, StorySprout continued on to Park Pharmacy, giving it high marks for beautiful gifts to browse while waiting on a prescription — practical and delightful. She made a thoughtful stop at Smith’s Veterinary Service, offering a big thumbs-up for the wonderful care they give to pets throughout the community, before strolling into Browsers, where books, gifts, and curiosities made it hard to leave. Of course, no village adventure would be complete without ice cream, so a stop at The Crooked Lake Ice Cream Co was absolutely necessary — because, as StorySprout firmly believes, ice cream is always needed.

Her morning stroll wrapped up back where stories begin — at the Chamber Visitors Center — after one final stop with Christina at The Village Real Estate. Looking to buy or sell? StorySprout says it’s officially StorySprout approved. Now she’s settled in, coloring happily in the Visitors Center, surrounded by maps, brochures, and the quiet hum of welcoming travelers.

Thank you, Christine, and thank you to all the Hammondsport village businesses for making StorySprout’s day so full of kindness, connection, and community charm. 🌿✨
