Fall Fest at The Windmill

 &

Join Our Fall Photo Contest!

The crisp autumn air, the golden glow of leaves, and the warm bustle of The Windmill Farm & Craft Market—there’s no better time to soak in the Finger Lakes. Fall at The Windmill feels like stepping into a postcard: pumpkins stacked high, the sweetness of fresh-baked pies drifting on the breeze, and families wrapped in cozy sweaters with steaming mugs of cider in hand.

This season, the market comes alive in a way that is uniquely fall. Merchants showcase their seasonal favorites, from handmade crafts in autumn hues to farm-fresh produce that tastes like sunshine bottled up. You’ll find mums bursting with color, apples ready for cider-pressing, and cozy treats that invite you to linger just a little longer. Every corner offers something worth pausing for—a laugh with a friend, a bite of something delicious, or the sight of a child discovering the joy of a pumpkin.

Kick off autumn at The Windmill on October 4th! Join them for their annual Fall Fest featuring live music, pumpkin painting, bounce houses, a mechanical bull, Sir James, a balloon artist, a scarecrow contest, pony rides, and seasonal food and drinks.

🍁 Be sure to capture every memory of this fun-filled day!

And this year, Keuka Roots is teaming up with The Windmill Farm & Craft Market to celebrate everything that makes the season so special. Autumn has a way of making us slow down, breathe a little deeper, and savor the details. It’s about holding on to moments that might otherwise pass us by—the glow of a late afternoon sun, the crunch of leaves underfoot, or the joy of sharing a treat with someone you love.

What better way to treasure those moments than through a photograph?

That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Windmill Farm & Craft Market Fall Photo Contest! We’re inviting you—our visitors, neighbors, and friends—to share your favorite scenes, smiles, and snapshots that capture the beauty of fall at The Windmill. Whether it’s your little one picking out the “perfect pumpkin,” your family gathered around a table of fall treats, or a quiet shot of golden leaves against the blue sky, we want to see the season through your eyes.

📸 How to Participate:

Visit The Windmill this fall and snap your best photos.

And starting next week at Keuka Roots: we’ll be running a special series—8 weeks, 8 blogs—highlighting the merchants, events, and moments that make The Windmill so magical. It’s our way of sharing the stories behind the pumpkins, pies, and crafts, and celebrating the people who bring the market to life.

So grab your camera—or just your phone—and let the Finger Lakes fall magic unfold. Because sometimes, the best souvenirs aren’t the things you buy, but the memories you capture.

This fall, let The Windmill and Keuka Roots help you hold onto the season’s most beautiful moments—one photo at a time.
