Hickory Hill ... Your Campfire Awaits

Hickory Hill Camping Resort, situated in the enchanting Finger Lakes Region near Keuka Lake, proudly announced a new chapter in its storied family legacy in April 2025. Alan Lehman, the son of long-time owners Randy Lehman and Janet Opila-Lehman, along with his wife, Andrea, will be assuming the roles of campground managers—marking the next generation of stewardship at this cherished destination on the outskirts of Bath, NY.

Alan and Andrea left behind their fast-paced corporate lives in New York City to return to Alan’s childhood home, embarking on a new adventure steeped in family and tradition. “My dream has always been for Hickory Hill to remain a multi-generational family business,” shared Randy Lehman. “Witnessing Alan and Andrea step into this role surpasses anything I ever imagined.”

A Legacy Rooted in Family and Community

Hickory Hill Camping Resort was established in 1962 by Frank and Evelyn Brundage and passed down to Randy in 1979 when he was only 23 years old. For more than forty years, Randy and Janet have nurtured a retreat where families can play, unwind, and reconnect with the beauty of nature.

“Stepping away from our corporate careers to return to Hickory Hill wasn’t merely a job change—it was a calling,” remarked Alan Lehman. “We feel deeply honored to uphold the traditions my parents established and to craft new memories for the upcoming generation of campers.”

Fusing Corporate Expertise with a Love for Hospitality

Alan and Andrea bring a distinct set of skills to Hickory Hill, dedicated to enhancing guest experiences while preserving the resort's status as a premier destination for families. Their vision encompasses streamlining operations and introducing innovative guest programs, all while honoring the legacy of Hickory Hill’s warm, family-friendly atmosphere.

“We believe that camping is about creating unforgettable memories, reconnecting with nature, and cherishing quality moments with loved ones,” said Andrea Lehman. “We’re thrilled to welcome families to Hickory Hill and cultivate a community that feels like home.”
