Hammondsport’s Oktoberfest:

A Finger Lakes Celebration of Fall

🍂 Fall in the Finger Lakes is already something special—crisp air, colorful hillsides, and a lake view that seems to glow this time of year. Add in lively music, hearty food, and a community ready to celebrate, and you’ve got the makings of a perfect afternoon. That’s exactly what’s on tap for Hammondsport’s 2nd Annual Oktoberfest, happening Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Firemen’s Grounds.

🎶 A Festival with Bavarian Flair

Hosted by the Hammondsport Chamber of Commerce, the event promises an afternoon filled with German music, dancing, and plenty of seasonal cheer. Expect the sound of polkas and folk tunes floating through the village as friends and neighbors gather to toast the season.

🍴 Food, Drinks & Vendors

No Oktoberfest would be complete without food and drink, and Hammondsport’s celebration is no exception. Traditional fare, refreshing beverages, and a variety of vendor booths will round out the day, offering both local flavor and festive favorites.

🌍 A Tradition with Local Charm

While Oktoberfest traces its roots back to early 19th-century Munich, Hammondsport has given it a uniquely Finger Lakes twist. Instead of massive beer tents, visitors can expect a welcoming, small-town atmosphere where families, friends, and travelers can gather together. It’s a chance to experience the warmth of community while enjoying the hallmarks of a time-honored festival.

🗓️ Save the Date

It is certain is that Hammondsport’s Oktoberfest is set to be a highlight of the fall season—a celebration where the charm of the Finger Lakes meets the spirit of Bavaria.

So dust off your lederhosen, gather your friends, and get ready to raise a glass. Hammondsport’s Oktoberfest is just around the corner, and you won’t want to miss it.
