From Start to Finish: This Week’s Highlight

Take a few minutes and catch up on the highlights from this week’s blogs at Keuka Roots—because life is too short to miss out on good stories, good food, and good lake vibes.'

Monday we stopped by the Pleasant Valley Inn for Lake Life Flavors - Pleasant Valley Charm. From Village Tavern to Lake Life, we followed the culinary journey of Tyler LaCroix and Steve Stopka—two chefs whose passion for food is as strong as their love for the Keuka community.

Tuesday we headed over to Arrowhead Creek on Waneta Lake for The Changing Seasons at Arrowhead Creek. As autumn settles over the Finger Lakes, the course begins to wind down its golfing season, with only a few weeks left to enjoy the greens and fairways. But the story doesn’t end there—the clubhouse is still buzzing with life, offering a cozy place to gather, connect, and celebrate the shifting seasons.

Wednesday kicked off something special—our 8-week series celebrating the beloved Windmill Farm & Craft Market!  With Fall Fest happening this weekend and the Fall at the Windmill Photo Contest starting today, the energy is high. From now until the end of the season, we’ll be shining a spotlight on the people, places, and happenings that make the Windmill truly magical.

Thursday we met with Dusty Baker, director of the Dundee Library. With new leadership comes fresh ideas—and Dusty is bringing plenty of them. From exciting programs to a 24-hour fundraiser designed to make the library shine brighter than ever, Dundee’s beloved library is writing a bold new chapter.

Friday we sat down with Sarah Haberstroh of Plants on Main in Penn Yan for Rooted in Community: The Story of Plants on Main. Sarah shared her inspiring journey—from military service and city life to finding her place in Penn Yan, where she brought her vision for a vibrant, welcoming plant shop to life.

So whether you’re chasing flavors, fairways, fall colors, or fresh community stories, Keuka Roots has you covered. If you missed a post (or two), now’s the perfect time to catch up. Grab your coffee, get cozy, and dive in!
